Those of you who torrent will have come across sites such as torrentz.com (which is the site this addon is hardcoded to work with for the moment) which index torrents by hash, and link to other sites. Unfortunately, this doesn't always mean you can get the torrent, as sometimes the torrent in question has been removed from other sites, or no other sites are listed. Luckily, sites such as torrentz.com use the torrent hash as part of the URL. Using this, we can create a magnet link, and get firefox to pass this off to its default application, which should be your primary torrent client. This will in turn use uTP or some similar protocol to retrieve the torrent file from DHT or the trackers you specify in the options (it comes with two as default), and then let you use the newly acquired torrent to download whatever you wanted to begin with.
